VIP 211K External Harddrive

I have an external harddrive that is connected to an old VIP 211K receiver that is on its last legs. I know the Hopper is a different format and cannot be connected to the older EHD. Does the Wally use the same format as the 211K? Will my 7 year old 2tb EHD work when plugged into a Wally or can it only work when plugged into the 211K. Any information would be greatly appreicated.

The Wally uses completely different software from the 211. It’s not going to transfer over. You are going to lose everything on that drive. The good news is that you can still use that drive on the Wally, it will simply reformat.
