I just installed a Vewsat VS2000 with a Fortec 33" Dish from GoSatellite.net. The signal strength is coming in at around 62 to 75 on TelStar 5, but not a single channel can be found to date. (None from other Satellites either...)

I have been told that my Low LNB and High LNB values need to be set correctly on the VS2000. What should these values be, and what other values do I need to be concerned about? Such as Disec value: Ports 1 to 4, or Burst A or Burst B??

Please HELP...

Thanks in advance...

what kind of LNB? Universal or Standard? There should be writing on the LNB

Standard LNB LO frequency is 10750 10750
Universal LO is 9750 10600

It's a Universal LNB. What should the Disecq Value be set at? The choices are: Ports 1 to 4, and Burst A or Burst B?

Thanks!

unless you have a switch it should be on none

Since the LNB is universal, do LO of 10600 and turn 22k on

OK. I am not using the switch, so I shall leave it at "None". Now... As for Low & High LNB, it sounds like Low LNB needs to be set at 10600. Are you saying to set High LNB at 22000? Because there is no such things as to "Turn ON" 22K...

Besides... 22000 cannot be entered, because the values are preset within the VS2000. (It is selected via the remote control's left and right arrows to decrease or increase based on what is programmed inside. Can't enter in values.)

Also... Are the Low & High LNB values the same for all Satellites?

Thanks.

I’m not in front of mine so it might be foggy

Make both LO frequency 10600 (both low and high)
There is a spot that says 22k that you can turn on or off…turn it on

Yes…the exception is PAS9 (58W) which would be at 9750 & 10600. It’s the only satellite that needs the Universal setting

"LO" means Local Oscillator frequency, not "LOW", that's probably what's confusing. It should be set at 10750 for a standard LNB, 9750 or 10600 for a universal. There is no corresponding "high" value.

Also, look for signal QUALITY, as signal strength means nothing with these receivers. So you would watch the signal quality meter while you adjust the dish.
