Video Modulator Help!

I have a gate with a CCTV camera on it and I want to modulate it to one of my TV's. So it is just one TV and One Camera.

Here is the modulator I just ordered.

My question is if I can share the coax with Direct TV? Or do I need to run seperate cables. Any input is appreciated!

What DirecTV dish do you have?

Diplexing onto the KaKu signals is difficult at best.

Running a separate cable is the better way to do this.

First question is, as jdspencer wrote, what is your D* setup? If it is a Slimline dish either straight to your receiver or to a multiswitch then to the receiver, the answer is no, they cannot use the same cable. Slimlines go down to 250MHz, and that modulator operates in the 470-806MHz range. If you have a SWM module, yo can just connect it to the OTA port on the SWM and at the outlet use a 2-2150MHz splitter (not a diplexer).

If your dish is just looking at 101, any old pair of diplexers would do.
