Vick Suspended!!!!!!!

Thanks for the clarification...the point I was making is, they are both low-life scumbags and deserve to be in the same boat.

Vick made a a HUGE stupid mistake.....people make them.....neither you or I know him in reality to put him in a 'scumbag category'. I can name quite a few politicians from EITHER side of the political fence that have done JUST as bad if not worse. The mistake was scummy...person might not be. The definition of him being a "low-life", "scumbag" is been thrown around too easily....

The only words we can really say is: a criminal:D:up
THAT he is!

salsa, feel free to defend mr. vick until you are blue in the face. however, i'm not sure many of us agree or will we agree.

when the man truly repents and does a 180 degree turnaround, i'll be happy to change my tune. until then........................................

I am NOT defending him....the guy made a HUGE mistake...MONSTER mistake...So did Bill Clinton....do YOU consider him a scumbag...?

I think I'm the only one who agrees that your not defending his actions, just stating that the Gms in football are so greedy and stupid that they will bring him back if he is aloud.

Let me get this straight - Salsa. Are you comparing blowjobs to killing dogs? If getting a blowjob makes me a scumbag, well the shoe fits me well. I haven't killed any dogs, not even by accident with my car. SCUMBAGS run dogfights, finance dogfights, and kill the losers. That's my definition of a scumbag.

Killing dogs is not "a mistake". It is a sign of something deeply wrong inside a person. IMO I would require a couple of years of therapy.

You are probably still sore about him being the quarterback on the other team when the packers unbeaten playoff streak at Lambeau Field ended. lol.

Seriously I don't know what he might have done. I just think it is sad when anyone wastes their potential.

good call!!;)
I just thought he was a crappy passer who every treated like the 2nd coming of christ at the QB position.

NOT comparing.....Man, do you take things to the extreme. You should try decaf sometime....

I am saying, there have been many men that have made mistakes....BIG mistakes....because of stupid JUDGEMENTS made....very stupid judgements.
But, YOU nor I can only MAKE OPINIONS on what we know...not what we SUSPECT.

But, please remember you remarks and opinions....because it may happen to YOU or someone you are care about....and will you be brave enough to make the same judgements......or are you gonna be ones of those that does the same thing every day in this country..."not MY child...he/she would NEVER do something like this......!!"

Salsa I think that you underestimate the severity of this situation and how directly it strikes at the integrity of the game. We have a connection to gambling, we have connection to a sport that is banned and abhorred by most people and we add to it the fact that he admits complicity in some pretty brutal killings of underperforming animals. You may not see this as that bad but it should be obvious to you that many others do.

Yes it was legal year ago but times and values have changed. And right now football cannot afford the connection with Michael Vick.

I DO see how serious this is....but my argument has not been about him being a good or bad person, whether he deserves the max or not, whether he a great QB or not(which he is not....I don't use "great" too often). My argument has been the same.....like I have posted before....proof....by a GM that stated and is in the know MORE than any of US will EVER BE...if he does 2 years or less TOTAL.....he will be playing in the NFL again.

Now are far as Michael Vick there person...there is NO DOUBT what he has done is shameful, shameless and down digusting. But he was raised to think this is no big deal, that it's 'back in the hood' type stuff. Have you seen all the football players not condemn this as much...they know this is "hood stuff".....so it is a product of how things were when he was growning up. Someone had said it perfectly with alot of these athlethes that come from these types of backgrounds..."you can take them out of the 'hood, but can you take the 'hood out of them...."

Again...the ACT is incredibly scummy....but since NO ONE KNOWS him here personally.....we can sit here and call him a scum....

This guy refuses to get in front of what he did. Sure, he apologized (translation-I'm sorry I got caught), he said he wants to redeem himself (translation- I will play in the NFL again, and I want a super bowl ring). Later, or earlier (not sure on the timeline) he claims that he NEVER collected winnings on the dog fights. Obviously he's either the world's worst gambler, or still lying. To play in the NFL is a priviledge, not a right. When he gets out let him find a regular job like the rest of us. This IS a big deal, maybe it will sink into his brain one day. If the NFL reinstates him they will be saying that what he did is forgivable, and will be sending the wrong message to millions of children who dream of playing major league sports.

Well...did you think that maybe there is NO PROOF that he earned winnings on the gambling...??!! WE DON'T KNOW....the FEDS never said they had PROOF OF EARNING WINNINGS. NONE. And besides, he copped a plea to the main offenses. IF that is GOOD ENOUGH for the FEDS, it should be good enough for you.
