I was out of town over the weekend. This morning my wife calls me and says the 722 won't turn on and the green light is slowly going on and off. She unplugges the 722 and plugged it back in. No help. Un plugged for 4 hours, no change.
I just got home and decided ti unplug all the usb devices and do the plug reset. It came back on, but went to screen 303 about Do not Unplugg the receiver it's downloading software.downloading and install software, like it was being installed for the first time. It booted up but no epg. Unplugged again and this time the epg was there.
Looks like some kind of glitch on the over night reboot.
Isolated instance or is the receiver starting to fail. Looks like sometime since Sunday morning it upgraded from 724 to 725.

A flashing green light on the front of the receiver can mean the receiver is doing a "recovery". This mostly happens when a software download to the receiver is interrupted (the 303 message is part of s/w download). It can take a couple hours to come out of recovery mode, but if it takes longer, a reset normally brings it back.

If it happens again, the receiver is probably on its way out

When I plugged the usb hub back in it froze up again. Unplugged it and rebooted. I'll try plugging 1 usb device at a time itno the hub. Wife is watching a dvd right now, so it will have to wait.
I will dl everything to the ehd, as long as it works.
Had an instance when I replaced the 722 once before that it would not do the initial boot if anything was attached via usb. That's why it wouldn't boot for the wife when she did the plug reset this morning. For my wife, knowing how to do a plug reset is a major step.

Hub and ehd are now working fine. Have started to dl the important stuff from the internal drive.

OK, no problem with last nights reboot. Wife is happy, she can watch the Tour de France. I'm happy since she's happy. lol. Better that this happened now rather when we're away for almot a week in Aug.
