Here's a summary of a email I recv'd from Verizon....
On Feb 7, 2006 Verizon submitted its application for a Cable Franchise with the RI Division of Public Utilities and Carriers. FiOS data services are already delivering internet access to customers in North Kingstown and Warwick. Verizon promises to offer hundreds of new video channels, more high-definition channels than any current cable provider, more than 1,000 video-on-demand offerings and a diverse array of programming -- at better prices than are offered today by Cox.
