I experienced various things over the years and one was DISH
would not take away $5. access fee for having only locals with sky angel (was on their site Q & A and when proved it to CSR got that fee removed AT THAT TIME)...

NOW I see commercials about the GIRLFRIEND walking in on a guy watching
porn - S.A. commercial has the girlfriend go away,disgusted, .... DISH commercial has
the girl say "that's great, Honey!" or something to that effect - which do YOU
satguys contributors think is more likely???

SA* and E* are running similar commercials? News to me. I was unaware that E* ran commercials promoting its adult offerings. And unaware that SA* ran commercials attacking said offerings.

Are videos of these commercials available online, or can you let me know what channels you've seen them on? I'd be interested to see this sort of thing.

I saw the DISH commercial on 490 I think - one of their channels w/info
only....

It's possible I saw the Christian version (girlfriend runs away from boyfriend
watching porn, opposite of DISH type commercial) on TMW on sat. night on sky
angel one (262) which is not "in the red" today like it was for a few days.
(Could be mistaken and jctv only (FTA) might be running more realistic
version of commercial and not sky angel.... )

You know, if you saw it on TMW, it might even be a TVU-produced commercial for SA* (as they do make some of their own spots to fulfill SA*'s promotional mandate).

I will have to check 490 (which should parallel 101?) when I get my Dish 500's cable fixed. (I currently only have service from my Dish 300 pointed at 61.5 due to a broken cable.)

Thanks for the info - because I think it actually might be quite funny if E* and SA* run ads that are similar in some way.

I sympathize w/your 300 setup - spent 2 days in freezing cold putting
up 2nd big dish since the NEW lnb was no good... fooled me...

I have a EXTRA 500 dish with Quad LNB already installed and wired. Nice black coax at each receiver ready for instant use if my normal 500 has any problems! All my other coax is white so swapping is easy

Did this all in the summer, nice 75 degree sunny day

So as to avoid the freezing rain . snow storm failure of the past! never forget that nite!

my spare 500 doesnt have access to 61.5, but its good to go in a pinch for everything else
