Hi Guys!
Got a question about programing the V Box (DP710, first one to come out). I bought it a while back and now in the process of setting up the dish and actuator.
I took a 5 foot Wilson metal dish that used to sit on a ring that rested on the ground and remounted it on the mount of a old meshed dish mount. Got the elevation/declination set up and installed the 621-2 LNB. So far I got excellent pictures on G4 TP 16 (Shepherd's Chapel) and TP 17 (color bars) when using my IRD that pick up some digital channels. When I used the Trimax 1100 and scanned the C Band, got all the GDMX channels, WHT stuff, and other tps. Got a 72% quality reading on the Trimax.
I am setting this system up for my Quali and CS 8000 receivers (using the CS 8000 to move the dish, Quali piggyback).
I want to use the V Box to run the actuator. I have read the instruction booklet and it seems like programming the SG 2100. Is that so? All I do is locate the satellites, fine tune them, and save the settings (by the receiver)?
Has anyone used these antennae positioners? Any advise will be welcomed.
If all this work out great, I will post pictures of my Mini Bud system and its results.
