Useing Comcast voip to dial out??

Hi, i have a deacivated 625 and i am thinking of activateing, I know to avoid the 5$ fee i need to have it connected to a phone line. I do not have a land line and i am wondering if comcast voip will?? I have tryed to plug it in on my 722 and it does not recognize it but i have heard of people with vonage getting it to work.
