USB External Drive question

Sorry for another newbie question....

I have a number of recordings on my current 722 DVR. My new Hopper is scheduled to be in stalled in a couple days. If I save my 722 recordings to an external USB hard drive, can I later connect that hard drive to the Hopper and either restore or watch the recordings?

Yes.

Just make sure you don't connect that EHD until AFTER the Hopper is completely installed and working. And if you get a reformat message, don't do it. Reboot the system via unplugging.
