No. The PS3 does not have the drivers or software programs to control the USB tuner.

You might consider installing the USB tuner on a networked PC and stream the programming to the PS3.

But I have read somewhere about running window xp on play station3 is this legal?
so will a usb tunner run via windows on ps3?

Might be an interesting experiment, but with 512MB available RAM, the decoding process would be pretty useless for live viewing. I have read that only 256MB is available if running XP under Linux on the PS2.

Running an USB tuner under Linux on the PS3 might provide better results, but still probably will have major decoding issues.
