North Central Idaho / CNX Mini / Stationary Winegard 76cm dish aimed at 97w / Clear skies.

G19 @ 97w

11842 H
11929 V
11960 V
12146 V

All four transponders tested 95% Signal Level and 95% Signal Quality. No difference and no variation. All steady and strong.

Note: 95% seems to be "pegged against the upper limit" on my CNX Mini. Some other transponders on other sats do show up weaker. Usable signal Q threshold is about 35% on this receiver.

Hey, look on 11842H, VPID2119, there's a title board with a Glorystar ad...

Thanks to everyone who provided the readings for this short duration transponder test.

You input is useful for engineers to compare performance on a previously untested transponder. Maybe we might see this frequency placed into service........

Thank you SatelliteGuys! :up

:welcome to SatelliteGuys!
Interesting reading. We have noted that certain installs are experiencing reduced performance on specific transponders when peaking with TP 6: 11842.

What dish size was used during this test? (edit.... Oops my mistake)

First peaked on 11842, I then had to jog the motor slightly EAST to fine tune 11960 which I found very touchy to peak. All of these TP's seem a bit touchy today as if the beam has been narrowed or more narrow than days ago.

We noticed the same in our testing with TP13: 11960, The SQ dropped rapidly when bumping East/West as compared to other transponders.

If any of you have a meter to measure SNR or Spectum Analyzer on the G19 transponders, it would be interesting to see if these issues might be due to interference from adjacent satellites.

It looks that way Brian

Winegard 30" dish on main setup
GeoSatPro 36" on 2nd motorized

The LNB on the main is a Sadoun dual .4
The LNB on the 2nd one is the WSI dual (the orange one)

Sorry to mess you up. I am Moses Primo from 3ABN but I am not from MN. I work and live in Illinois. 3ABN has 127 TV stations around the country that we have to move dishes from AMC-4 to G-19 and that is what we are doing now. Thank you for your help in taking time to make the measurements and give your report about G-19 reception. Thanks

Welcome Moses, and thanks for the interview with Brian from Glorystar which we used on the SatelliteGuys Radio Show. :)

Hello Moses and welcome, no need for apology, you have not messed up anything to my knowledge. I figured that's what you were doing and already knew you are from Illinois. Be sure to give our regard to all of the staff at 3ABN! :D
