Based on reports elsewhere in this forum, the E-11 satellite has replaced E-8 at 110 W and now we are seeing Dish reduce the FEC from 5/6 to 7/8 on TP 3. I would expect FEC reductions on more of the 110 W CONUS TPs.

7/8 Symbol Rate require more signal in order to get the channels? I know that 7/8 on C-Band is hard to view even with 70% signal quality. Is this the same here?

Less FEC on a transopnder means more bandwidth on the transponder.

You are talking as if " 1 transponder " is always the same bandwidth.

Nothing wrong with that as long as they can crank up the power and lessen the FEC on the TP with Echo 11.

I think that the links vanished - I only see the FTA List...
