I do think that the sat at 129 is about to come to its end and Dish has to do something to replace this sat.

What Dish plans to do to keep the 129 active I have no idea any rumors out their??

Dish probably knows exactly the amount of fuel in the satellite (I am sure it has pretty accurate metering), the current burn rate and the amount needed to put it in a parking orbit. Given the above they probably know to the day/hour when they will have to move it, it is not going to be a surprise.

From what I have read, the E*2 to E*1 moves were likely just preparation for moving it to 77 West, and the 129 issues are the same ones that people have been reporting for years...

For info, the EchoStar 2 moves were associated with a complete failure of the satellite.

didn't they move all the locals off E2 to E1 already? what else was on E2?
