It's impossible to make on demand work on satellite without a dvr. You'd need a million transponders.

Just curious, but is this the same On Demand that cable has, meaning are there any chances of Dish getting Howard TV/Howard Stern on Demand?

It is not the same as On Demand from cable. It is a collection of PPV movies and such available "on demand".
