You also need to point out encoding MPEG-2 vs. MPEG-4 on the channels :)

Cheers,

I was supposed to copy and paste the entire window...oops... INHD is MPEG-2 according to the stream flags.

Channels in the system: 2901

Could be..

I mean, I know last time they tied the "release" because of Team Summit - but other times, I wonder what their "method" is to uplinking and releasing a channel.

I'm definitely confused on that one - especially with Food, since we know they already have a contract signed.

Remember guys and gals we can't see what is actually uplinked. It could simply be a mirror of another channel for testing purposes. E* has done this many times in the past. Sometimes they will shift things around to allocate the bandwidth, then they will uplink a mirror to test the new "space", while the space is being tested they are setting up the link for E* to receive the channel from the provider, once the link is setup and stable they will pull the mirror and put the real channel in place, and then release the channel to subs soon thereafter.

So, don't get frustrated that a channel is still in "Not available" mode, E* might not have the channel themselves. Be happy that you actually know the channel is coming soon. E* doesn't have to "show themselves" in the uplinks. They could test the channels without much knowledge from us and then suddenly turn the channels on one day.
