OK, I'm a cheapskate, and I know it. I teach physics (admittedly only at the high school level so my brain may have decomposed to chewing gum), and am not incredibly stupid. Here's my situation: I have a VIP 622 working perfectly. It's connected to a HDTV as both TV 1 and TV 2. My TVs in the bedroom are hooked up to a 625. I have replaced TV 1 with a second HDTV :). I called and have had DISH send me a VIP722 in a box to replace the 625. I'm going to replace the 622 with the 722 - that's no problem - the wiring seems to be identical. I'm then going to replace the 625 with the VIP 622.

Here's my problem. The 625 has a coax coming up out of the floor to a SVHC splitter. One of the splits goes to the dish splitter for the two sat feeds (just like the 622). The other coax coming out of the SVHC splitter goes to the coax in for TV2. Neither the 622 nor the 722 has this setup.

How do I connect the coax from out of the floor to the 622?
Do I do it like the 622 going to the Den HDTV and run HDMI out to my bedroom TV and RCA to the other TV, or is there some other way?

Sounds like the "splitter" you're seeing is actually a diplexer connecting to a DP Plus Separator. Connect the 622 where your 625 currently is in the exact same way and you should be fine since the 622 is basically an HD 625.

Yep, 2 TVs on the 622. Additionally, I put the 622 in the "third" bedroom (out of the way) with a small TV (TV1) and put my "good" TV in the master bedroom (TV2) so I wouldn't have to have the receiver in the bedroom. I then bought a HD TV for the master and wanted to keep it TV2. Dish told me I had to relocate the receiver as the HD had to be TV1. So... I'll have to go back under the house, crawling on my belly like a reptile, to swap coax.

Would you pay extra if Dish followed Dell's example?
