I bought a Sony STR-DH740 7.2 Reciever for the bedroom a couple weeks ago, got it going last week, using speakers I've had, Sony Sony SSF-7000 for front, Polk Audio CS10 Center, I have a 12" powered Sub (brand escapes me & 2 Aura Shakers mounted on sides of water bed powered by 70 watt amp)& Sony SS-B1000's for Surround and Rears ... (I got the Sonys via a gift certificate 2 or 3 years ago and used 4 in the bedroom before with a Denon 5.1 receiver). The upgrade to 7.1 using the extra channels for rear instead of heights makes a difference even on 5.1 sound material like Survivor... I am planning on upgrading to Polks sometime soon and moving the Sony's to my little 3D room.
