Thank you all for the very helpful information. I talked it over with the wife and we are most likely going to bite the bullet and get the hopper. Again thank you all for the info and I'll keep you posted on what we upgrade to

Ok so I upgraded to the Joey/hopper system. It only cost me the 10 dollar a month dvr fee. Everything else was free. I am very satisfied with the picture quality, the dvr and the online content. I highly recommend upgrading to it. Thanks again.
