I presently have dish 500 & 2 recievers - 625 & 4900. We live in the Louisville, Ky area, and I have 5 tv's that are fed by the tv2 output from the 625. All of the tv's are connected via rf and all tv's are 4x3.

I am considering gradually upgrading to HD and the 722 but have a couple of questions:

Which dish should I expect with the upgrade - Dish 1000, Dish 1000.2 or something else?

In this area will the signal from 129 be ok or should I seek the 61.5 signal?

Should I replace the 4900 with the 211? This reciever is presently on an older 4x3 tv that is used sparingly. Would there be an advantage to replace the 4900 keeping in mind that I will probably use the rf connection?

Using the 722, will the picture on the 4x3 tv's fed by the rf connection be full screen or will it have bars on the sides - remember that I will not be receiving HD content at first?

Your retailer or Dish will decide what antennas you need. I suggest you request the 61.5 satellite, even though this will require a second dish. You'd probably end up with 2 Dish 500s, assuming you do not sub to internationals.

If you are going to continue with an SDTV I'd stay with the 4900- not much point in going to a ViP211 at this time. You might look at a ViP222 at some point in the future, for feeding more TVs.

The SD output from the ViP722 will be 4x3 for SD channels.

P.S.- your locals are on 110, if you wish to sub to LiL.

I am also considering the dish trade back promo, exchanging the 522 for a 722. I want the 722 to connect my 1080i set and one other set in an adjacent room. I own a 921 (currently on the 1080i set) which I would like to migrate to another part of the house and connect two sets to it. Can the 921 be connected to two sets? I have two roof top dishes both model 500.

Time shifting then live... what to think?
