Hi, I would really appreciate some upgrade advice.

My current situation: Beyond the 2 year contract. Month by month. Have a 722K with EHD and Sling running through a Logitech Revue smart TV add-on. Works fine. I have a 211K on the second TV which no longer works (no audio and keeps resetting). Americas top 200 / HD add-on

What I Need: I would like a DVR ability to BOTH TVS and replace the 211K which no longer works.

Questions: Would a Hopper + Joey be a good option?

Can I transfer the contents from the 722 to the Hopper (maybe via the EHD)?

What would be the cost differential?

Would I need to sign a new 2-year contract?

What do I do with the sling? What about the Logitech Revue box?

OR . . . would it just be easier to get another 722 for the second TV? That would avoid messing with the set-up I currently have and give me a DVR ability on the second TV and replace the broken receiver. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for any help

Rick

DVR fee on the Hopper/Joey is $12/month vs the $7 (I believe) for your 722k, Joey is $7/month - same as 211k.

You will have a two year commitment.

If you get the Hopper with Sling you don't need the Sling adapter - you can sell it.

If you get a Hopper 2000 the Sling adapter will work with it, however the Hopper with Sling can transfer programming to an iPad or android tablet, the 2000 + Sling adapter cannot.

Another 722 for the second TV will cost you $17 more per month.

If you transfer your recordings to an EHD, the Hopper can play them just like the 722k does.

With the Hopper/Joey you will get 3 tuners shared between both TVs and both TVs can see and play all recordings in the Hopper.
