Untethered iOS5 jailbreak for all non-A5 devices

Unstable?

I've had to boot-tethered a few times.
So, I'm a bit gun-shy and just don't turn the phone off any more.
This is the 3GS as mentioned in my signature.
Haven't really looked on the forums to see if anyone has similar problems.

Anyway, when an iPhone 4 came along to play with, I jailbroke it at its current iOS level.
That's: 4.2.1 & bb: 3.10.1
It's been fine. (so far - really too soon to say)
For that, I researched and found greenpois0n to be the preferable tool.
Battery life seems okay, too.

Have no urge to go to 5.0.1 on the 4 any time soon. ;)
Once burned, . . .

No problems on my 4 so far.

Sent from my iPad using SatelliteGuys

Does your 3GS have the old bootrom?

I believe it was in production for only a few months.
And as I understand, I don't have that one.
Mine is late 2009 production.
Somewhere I have the exact revision, but that's the gist.
The reason I ask is because if you have the old bootrom then you are lucky, like myself. Just about every tethered JB is still untethered on the 3GS with the older bootrom. Because of this you will be able to JB your phone almost immediately after a new software update is released. I am still running the original "tethered" (untethered on my phone) JB that came out for 5.0.1 and haven't had any issues.

Ugh... this is like getting updates on the birth of a child..

"We've just been admitted to the hospital!"

"She's at 3 cm!"

"She's at 6 cm!"

"She's stalled at 7 cm!"

"She's almost fully dilated!"

"She's going to start pushing!"

"The head is out!"

"The baby is here!"

Good comparison seeing that's where i'm going to be in less than 2 weeks.

Even in the tutorial video the guy was having problems. Probably because everyone is hitting the servers at the same time for Cydia..

Sadly I'm at work, so I can't imagine how bad it'll be by the time I and 90% of the other potential JBers get home to try it..

First Smartphone, or phone that really impressed you!
