Luckily, with my rotor and booster, I was able to get a lock on WGRZ out of Buffalo (over 100 miles away). I can get US in the evening. Better than nothing.
Probably only if NBCU uses leverage as I personally believe that is how DirecTV was FORCED to take it, IMHO. Universal Sports does have some good coverage, but I'd say about 95% of what is on the air is repeated and repeated and repeated. Then laid to rest for a while, then dragged out a few months later and repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated. They have very little fresh programming. It really is a very POOR value channel. Any MVPD is NOT looking to pay for such a low value channel when they feel they already pay a mint for what people are really demanding for sports: ESPN, TNT, etc. If Dish add this, you can bet Charlie had no choice.
