The Universal Sports Network has shut down and their website sends you off to a NBC site that lists Universal HD as carrying some of the USN sports. Does DISH have that channel? It's not on the line up card.

When I received Universal Sports on the freebie promos, I watched bob sleding, skiing, curling....it was like watching the old ABC Wide World of Sports again :). Ahhh..... one of the most famous people in the world that hardly anyone knows his name was the guy falling off the end of the ski jump- the agony of defeat scene.

Suggestions of where to look for those types of sports if Universal HD is not to be had?

YES, DISH has removed any mention of BlockBuster name from their website and their movie packs. Funny to pay all that money to buy a company like BlockBuster and then shut it down and not even keep the name for your Movie pack. I would think the name would at least be used for something.

Aren't most of these included with the top 250?

I have some of those Channels courtesy of the AT250 package, but not all. I would love to get Universal HD, because of it showing some of the events USN used to have. I got out of one package, when USN went off the air, now if I want Universal HD, I would have to pay for another package, that I would have to admit that I would watch more of. Will Dish put Universal HD as a free channel weekend promotion? If so, I would enjoy it, but still not for sure, if I would still subscribe to the Movie Package.

I was thinking about getting the Universal Sports Network when it was around but I'd have to buy into a package of which I already received most if not all of the other package channels. I hate that.

Don't forget people, you also get Encore on Demand as well. Not that it's just the equivalent of Cinemax to HBO back in the 90s (No original programming on Encore). However, it's an extra perk all the same.
As well as MoviePlex and Epix.....Sony Movie Channel, PixL, and FXM (along with World Fishing Network) are also listed on Dish Anywhere...
