Was thinking about adding the Uniden Super 4400 to my existing KU-Band FTA system to pick up some analog sports feeds, but was wondering how difficult this receiver is to operate without a remote control?

I have a 4400 Super and wouldn't want it without a remote. Way to limited with the features and options. However, there is a way around not having a remote for a receiver. And I've used this on other receivers also. Find an old remote from a TV set built in the early 90s (I normally find them at garage sales). The kind that has a Cbl/Sat function to control a cable box or satellite receiver. Then you just search the manual or internet for the codes that will operate the receiver you have. Input the right code into the remote and you're good to go. You may not have every single function but it's much better than without a remote. Have fun.

I bought a 4400 Super off of eBay without a remote and it was useless. You can't get into the Main Menu in order to change it from C to Ku without a remote. I bought a universal remote trying to operate it and nothing worked. Finally, I broke down and found another receiver on eBay with a remote and bought it. So, basically, I ended up paying over $50 for analog capability. Don't make my mistake :) I have a backup receiver now, though...
