I have an HR10-250 with a triple-LNB dish setup. My receiver reports that there is no signal on all transponders from satellites 110 and 119. I'm pretty sure I have a clear line of sight... I've switched around the cables, and even tried a different received with the same results.

Is it likely my dish has two bad LNB's? What I mean, is this a common occurrance?

Thanks,
CB

WELCOME!

Are you receiving ANY channels? If not, my best first guess is that you are likely not aimed at the correct heading. You say you can't see 110 & 119, but does this mean you know you are hitting 101 now?

A bad LNB can happen but comparatively speaking it is rare.

If you're getting 101, is there a tilt to your dish? There should be if you have the 3 lnb. if it worked before and stopped, recheck the aiming of the dish compared to the numbers it gives in satellite setup.

Were you getting them before??

110 and 119 that is????

Did you replace a 3 LNB oval with a 3 LNB Slimline Dish? The skew should be set the same as the LNB Oval, not the Slimline 5LNB that the receiver may show on the screen.

This is a new installation, and 101 works well with signal strengths of 90+ on most transponders. I did mess with the tilt, but just read in the doc (of all places :) ) that there could be up to a 3 degree variation. I will try to adjust the tilt again.

Thanks!
