Set a manual timer to fire right before the show starts (see the steps in post number 185 above) and set a DVR timer for the show you want to record.

Got it. The red dot(in the guide) threw me off. I didn't realize that would also be on for autotune timers. As I said earlier I haven't used autotune for anything in a long time.

It is actually even worse than that. If you check your Schedule tab, you will see that the autotune events actually say "To be recorded by Living Room 1" (or whatever room name you gave your receiver). Like I said, it is very confusing.
