Type of wire between at9 and H20

Hi all,

I've had D* for about 10 years and I installed the dish by attaching the dish to the existing house coax and an existing grounding stake. My question is... will the same standard coax work for the 5lnb at9 to the H20 receiver or will I be replacing the coax cable that exists currently. Any place you can point me to read up on the wiring specs would be appreciated...

If it is RG6 coax. But chances are if it is 10 years old it is RG59. It also depends on distance. RG59 will work for shorter distances.

How can I tell from appearance the difference between RG6 and RG59? Also is it still only one wire run for all 5 lnb?

It is probably not that important for most normal length runs, but D* recommends using a solid copper center conductor instead of CCS (Copper coated steel) center. So far all the multiswitches are non-powered which means the receivers are powering 2 multiswitches and the LNB's.

Again probably not an issue in 99% of installs.
