Hi experts!

I plan on using only two sats, G10R and IA5 on two receivers.
The issue is I would like both receivers to see both
sats independently. My plan is as follows

+ With...
- 2 receivers
- 2 dual LNBFs
- 2 dishes
- 2 Diseqc 2x1 switches

+ I would connect...
- recv-1 to Diseqc2x1-switch-1
- recv-2 to Diseqc2x1-switch-2
- dual-LNBF-1 to Dish-1
- dual-LNBF-2 to Dish-2
- each port of each Diseqc2x1-switch would be connected to one port on each dual-LNBF, such as

recv-1 -->Diseqc2x1-switch-1(port-1) -->dual-LNBF-1(port-1) -->Dish-1.
(port-2) -->dual-LNBF-2(port-1) -->Dish-2.

recv-2 -->Diseqc2x1-switch-2(port-1) -->dual-LNBF-1(port-2) -->Dish-1.
(port-2) -->dual-LNBF-2(port-2) -->Dish-2.

(Hmm... I wish I could draw a picture here ?!)

Then, I have to setup on each receiver to use Diseq mode (Tone Burst A and B) on each satellite
Would that work? Or maybe I just buy two motorized systems as a simpler solution ?

Thanks in advance!

longer version

here is how part of mine is set up (I'm not going to list it all since its a lot) :)

I have a fixed dish for G10 and a motorized.

-One receiver (Viacast) has a 2x1 switch on it...one goes to the G10 dish...the other port goes to the motorized dish
-The other reciver (Pansat) has a 4x1 switch...one port is for the G10, and the other port goes to the motor which goes to the motorized dish

Both receivers get G10 and whatver satellite the motorized is on (IA6, SBS6, etc)

The Diseqc switch (and the setup) makes the difference...POrt 1 could be for IA5 and port 2 for G10

real crappy picture using paint, but it works :)

the 2 squares with no writing are the 2x1 switches

That is exactly the picture I've imagined.
Thanks much!

I'm thinking about the following configuration. Do you think if it works.
(hope you can see the attached pict drawn with paint !!)

Recv1 --> SG2100 --> Dual-LNBF(port 1) --> Dish1
Recv2 --> 2x1 Diseq switch(port1) --> Dual-LNBF(port 2) -->Dish1
.....................................(port2) --> Single LNBF --> Dish2

- The receiver1 will control the motor and dish1 to see all visible satellites
- The receiver2 will see one fixed sat (such as G10R) from Dish2 (port-2 of 2x1 switch)
and any sat from port-1 of 2x1 switch depending on Dish1 (same as receiver-1)

With this I can see more sats than just two (from two receivers) ....

Many thanks!!

Here is part of my setup….not 100% done yet

3 dishes..Motorized, Fixed at G10 and Fixed at G3 (95)
One line from motorized to motor to 4x1 switch
Other line to another 4x1 switch (noted with 4)

Fixed at 123
-both lines to 3x4 multiswitch
-outputs to each 4x1 and straight line to receiver

LNB attached for 119
Line runs to 4x1 for Dish audio

Dish at G3
-line runs into house…separate line not hooked unless hockey game is on

LNB hooked for ExpressVu 91 & LNB for ExpressVu 82
Line run to 4x1 switch marked “4”

So….what I have is as such
-Pansat with motorized, Dish 119 and G10
-Viacast for G10
-Microyal with Slaved motorized, G10, EVu 91 and EVu 82

-line from G3 that can be hooked to any of them for NoDak Hockey

Whew!
