Two HR24, one remote

I just got my system upgraded from the ancient dish and combo of SD+TiVo and TiVo R15 to two HR24's connected to composite inputs on my TV. (Next big purchase will be the HD display, but I've already spent enough this month.)

So I've got the two HD DVRs in the media cabinet (so I can record more than 2 things at the same time) and I'm wondering how to select between them with the single remote. I started to go into the remote setup menu and it has a path for use when one has 3 or more receivers, so I'm thinking I do something else when there's 2.

You can change it so one is on AV2 on the remote...on the one you want to change to AV1 or AV2 power on the receiver then

menu
setup
remote
receiver remote
you can change it from DIRECTV to AV1 or AV2

then one receiver will run like normal and the other will operate when you switch to AV1 or 2 on the remote (or have a 2nd remote always set to that)
