Does anyone know why two Hopper 3's are not supported? Does anyone know a wiring diagram for two
Hopper 3's where one Hopper is not seen by the other? Otherwise I will need a separate dish. Thanks!

There is no wiring diagram for 2 Hopper 3's on one dish because it's impossible. Each H3 requires it's own Hybrid LNB connection and no other receiver can be connected to the LNB when an H3 is connected.

Even if you have 2 H3's on the same home network they will not see each other. H3's don't see each other or other Hoppers.

Why would you think that? Since its not allowed to have two on the same account no one knows if they see each other or not.

There is no way for them to interact if they aren't on the same HUB.
That's just common sense.

The Hopper 1s and 2s interact by using a duo Node or duo Hub using Pro Plus technology .

H3s as stated use Pro Hybrid technology which my guess isn't going to support 32 tuner setup.
I think it's already been stated 16 was max.

Not true, I had two hopper with slings connected to one another via the home network, on different nodes on a seperate account of mine. The H3 and Joeys connected could also see through the WiFi as well, however I couldn't access any of the material. Just recognized the hardware there. The HWS's interacted completely with one another through the network.

Okay um NO
See that's where confusion comes in .
Moca has nothing to do with your home network or internet.

My PS 4 can also see the Hopper and just about every other connected device.
That's doesn't mean it's compatible.

The H3 and HWS are not compatible but the HWS's are compatible with one another over the home network without a true MOCA connection.

So you claim that if I seperate both Hoppers using separate nodes and just connect them to my home network, they would still fully interact?
Reliably?

But again why would one do this?

So your saying the guy with 2 Hoppers 3s is fully compatible with each other and can share play lists
From just connecting to the same Home network? with joeys?

Consistently and reliably I could not attest to, but everything else, yes. Mine was like this for a short period of time as I was doing something very specific.

I just can see it working correctly using only your home network.
To many interface factors.
And you had Joeys in this mix?
I'm guessing Hard wired?
Why wouldn't you just not have them connected to a Duo Node?

I was doing a test for someone that was asking about the MOCA. As I mentioned, it was short lived, less than a day, but it worked.

H3's don't see any other Hopper on the network and no other Hopper sees the H3. Like you said, HWS's see each other and play well together, H3's do not.

I may not have said it correctly, but I don't care if they see each other. I just want my TV to have it's own Hopper. Why, you ask? Because even though sixteen tuners is WONDERFUL, I still cannot make two recordings
of the same show, meaning my wife and I have to coordinate before we delete a commonly watched show. This is especially a problem with network shows that have a tendency to only air once a week.

Valid point and there are a LOT of other people who also want 2 H3's for various reasons, most importantly redundancy. Right now you can't have 2 H3's because DISH says you can't. You should probably lobby DISH to change that policy if you want 2 H3's..

Geez! Unless you are archiving, if you watch a show that has indicated watched, your wife already watched it and vice versa. If you want a show saved after watching, put it in a "save" folder. Get the Hopper3 and you'll never want to go back. Maybe someday you will be able to get 2.
