Have any of you seen TV Plus? I am not really sure what it is, when I go to the OTA input on my Samsung TV, after the last OTA channel, the next channel is 1005 which is the CBS News network. There are a ton of channels in the 1000s, in a variety of genres.

To relate it to Directv, WeatherNation is there, which is a channel we used to have. There is a different MHZ channel too. Some channels that we have on Directv are on TV Plus, too - Eleven Sports, Cheddar, QVC, HSN, perhaps others. Another Pursuit channel is on TV Plus, too.

Some "real" channels that we don't have and never have had are available - Buzzr, Get TV, Stadium, the other versions I mentioned above. There are a ton of channels that I have never heard of, some appear to be international. Some appear to be from the internet, like Fubo Sports Network.

From a google search, it appears that this is only available on Samsung TVs. I am assuming it is streaming based because the PQ fluctuates some, but when it is at its best, it is very good.

I have it too. I think it’s pretty good. I’ve also chosen the setting to be able to use my Samsung remote with my receiver, I’m not a fan of the RC73.

I also hate the RC7x remotes... I still use my RC65 for everything. In TV mode, it is able to operate just about everything without issue. I can't stand the Samsung remote even more, it has so few buttons and is a weird shape. No numbers? No thanks.

so did you scan for these?
hows it work?

I did nothing. I just happened to notice that there was a channel 1005 after 57-3, my last OTA channel. They work like OTA channels, they are integrated into the OTA guide and everything. Channel up/down to them, etc.

Is there any way to turn it off?

Seems like mostly garbage channels to me
From a Samsung FAQ:

How do I remove Samsung TV Plus?
Samsung TV Plus is an integrated feature of your TV and it can't be fully removed. However, if you remove all of the channels, Samsung TV Plus will not appear on your TV anymore unless a new channel is added. Periodically, new channels are added and you'll need to remove them if you don't want Samsung TV Plus. You can also remove the Samsung TV Plus app from your TV's Home screen. Simply highlight it, press Down, and then select Remove > Remove.

Note: You can restore the TV Plus channels by performing a Smart Hub reset. But this will sign you out of all of your apps, so you have to make sure you have all of your login information and your TV's PIN code (default is 0000). Navigate to Settings, and then select Support. Select Self Diagnosis, and select Smart Hub Reset to perform the reset.

There are some okay channels. I like having Buzzr, Stadium, WeatherNation, and I guess GetTV and not having to flip to yet another place for CBS News Network if I wanted to watch it. It is free afterall. And integrated with OTA so one less dumb app to flip to. Here is the list I compiled:

1005 CBS News Network
1024 Law & Crime
1032 The Young Turks
1034 WeatherNation
1058 Fubo Sports Network
1059 Stadium

1061 Outside TV
1063 Insight TV
1068 EdgeSport
1069 Pursuit UP
1070 Waypoint TV
1071 Surf Channel
1073 WPT
1075 Pluto Sports

1127 G&S
1131 ConTV
1153 FailArmy
1153 ET Live
1155 Pets.TV
1159 RiffTrax

If you remove the app from the homescreen, you also lose access to OTA from there, too, right?

What is the channel Moonbug channel 1321 all about?
