I would hazard a guess at around the Pas 9 satellite at 58w.

Taking 121w as your zenith (True south) Most motor mounts move 70 deg. east and west, but effectively only around 60 deg. east/west of the arc can be used/seen.

i think you are right pas 9 might be the lowest, i live in the Modesto area, and have seen sky tv dishes from Mexico, people who subscribe and then bring their dishes here.,..was at a friends house and he pays the basic sub...his dish is pointing almost towards the ground. but he does get quality picture using 0.7 db lnb...i believe his dish is about the size of 76cm 31 inch...you gave me figures for L.A...i live about 300 miles north...here is my zip code 95388. thanks
