Im going to be signing up for direct tv this week (sunday ticket package that should start tomorrow), and i was wondering if anyone knew of any good tripods for use on an apartment balcony. i was going to do the bucket routine, but i will be getting the 5lnb slimline and heard a tripod was a good idea. any thoughts? thanks.

also, i live in alexandria, va 22314, with a west facing balcony. my view towards the southwest is open, so i can angle the dish from the corner of the balcony in that direction is this ok? and what site do you guys use to determine if im facing the proper way? thanks again.

When the installer came to install my dish, they brought a tripod mount with them so I didn't have to get one myself.
They didn't charge me anything at the time. I don't recall seeing a surprise charge on the bill later either.
