Trend towards HD?

I’m new to FTA so I have not observed it as it was deployed and evolved in the United States (or North America in general). Is there a trend towards more HD programming? Or have CBS and PBS been available in HD since “day one.” Any news / speculations / rumors on additional HD programming on the ku band?

I'm still setting my system up but from what I've seen poking around Lyngsat it seems that the HD offerings on Ku are slim pickings.

4DTV / Bud seems to be the best option to get close to the HD options I had with Voom (beyond the Voom21).

I'm all for HD on Ku .

Yep, most of the HD on KU will be feeds for now.......
