Traxis 3500 loop to Viewsat Pro?

I do not have the Traxis up and running yet but I wanted to ask if/how I could use the Viewsat Pro's PVR function. I am waiting on a dish I ordered.
I plan to use the Traxis to scan and control the motor and was wondering if I could then loop out from the Traxis to the Viewsat and record whatever I was looking at? Methinks it might not be that simple but who knows, I thought I would ask.

you would have to program the channel into the viewsat to record it but yeah it would work

I have done that with a HD receiver...used the loop out of the Coolsat 5000 to find the channels. Then input them into the non blind scan HD box
