transponder question

I am hoping someone can answer a question or suggest where I can get some info on the following. I live on the eastern side of Nova Scotia Canada and for some reason during the winter months and especially at night start to lose channels the signal strength does not change much I have direct tv rca receiver and using transponders 7and23 any help would be appreciated harryc

I am in Nova Scotia also, I am using a 39" dish and the signal seems pretty good for me. Transponder 2 is around 90%, some of them are around 40-50%, but not many, and are still perfectly fine, except during rain. Today it was raining pretty bad, and on MTV (TP7) I still had 85% signal.

Maybe try getting a bigger dish, like a 39".
