I have a philips directv box and I notice the transponder is at 10 with signal strength of 60 on some channels.

If I change the transponder to 18 the signal strength goes to 92, which is better. But how do I save this. Is there a way? or is it random?

abarsami, welcome to satelliteguys!! We're glad you're here!!

Every channel sits on a certain transponder. You can't change that. Some transponders you will get better than others.

All transponders are used. Different channels are on different transponders. So, depending upon the channel you are on, you will see different transponders.

Understand?
