Transfer material from 722k to Hopper

well I will let you know. I have an external hard drive I could use but I really don't want to erase it.
When you say you have an external hard drive, is that now attached to your 722? If it is, it will be playable on your new Hopper without erasing anything. Why do you want to take out the hard drive from the 722?

Just confirmed with dish that I can pull the 722 hard drive and put it in an external usb adapter box. I guess we will see tomorrow.

You can probably pull the drive and put it an enclosure but you're not going to be able to see the contents on the Hopper.

It's amazing and sad the things they make up to get an order.

If you want to view programming off the 722 internal drive on your Hopper, you MUST copy them to an external drive and use that external drive to attach those recordings to your Hopper.

You can play them directly from the external drive, you don't have to copy them back to the internal Hopper drive.

I wanted to pull the HD out of the 722 and put in a external bay adapter so I didn't have to buy an external hard drive to access my recordings. But since that didn't work, I'll have to pick up a drive to put in my bay. O well.

Two Hopper 3's for use of four screen PIP on second Hopper 3.
