TracVision R4SL "RF Error"

I'm trying to help a buddy 1200 miles away that just purchased an RV with the TracVision stationary antenna. When he tries to initialize, the antenna searches for a few seconds, appears to lock on, but then gets a message on TV saying "RF Error". Is this an LNB problem?

I would suggest that he double checks his connections. If connections are crossed, or connected in the wrong slots/ports, then he could be getting an error from that. Did his product come with a manual with the common problems/troubleshooting actions in the back?

the KVH r4 is an older unit. the rf board could be bad on it. he can go onto KVHs web sit and download the manual. also they have a prety good support line. 888-584-5714
