This weekend I picked up one of these units at local swap meet. the price was cheap enough, but unfortunately it didn't come with a remote. can you setup the receiver to receive analog ku band feeds without the remote. The remotes for these units are quite expensive on the internet, almost $80. When I tried plugging it in all it said was c-band, do you have to switch it to ku band for it to work. i'm a little confused at the moment and any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Great receiver…but yes you would need the remote to switch it to KU band. There are some menu functions that you need to get into to switch it to KU.

I don’t know if a Universal will work or not.
