Is it possible for 1 box to not show the channel but the rest of them to? Our older box is fine on HD channels (our HD box is 4 yrs old.. the D10-300s are relatively new), but it is not working for 229.

I also notice, when testing, SatC, Transponder 12 is 40s on the old box, and 90s on the new one.

Does this mean the box needs to be replaced?

Here is another example. Sat 101 Transponder 16. On the D10-300.. 94%. On the Toshiba DST100- goes between 33 and 0 mostly on 0.

bad Receiver?

Try swapping the two receivers around in the 2 rooms, the test comes out the same for the toshiba, it is probably the receiver going bad, if the d10-300 does not work well in the other room, try replacing connectors on your cables or swapping out the lnb or lnb's or multiswitch depending which dish you have.

I just got a new dish about 3 weeks ago. DirecTV came and gave me a new one because I was getting much worse problems signal wise, on all boxes, and after complaining enough they came and fixed it. The dish should be fine.
