There are:

- Extra receiver fee
- DVR fee
- Receiver lease fee (is it on top of extra receiver fee?)
- No phone connection fee (is it just for dual receivers?)

- So, for a leased 522 extra receiver that is not connected to phone, is it a $20/month fee? Seems too high.

There is one receiver included in the DHA package price. If the 522 is the only receiver you have, you'll be billed as follows:

522 DVR Fee: $4.98/month
522 Tuner 1: $0.00 (One receiver included in DHA package price)
522 Tuner 2: $4.99/month (Waived if continuously connected to phone line)

The total would be $9.97/month with a 522 only.

I believe the extra receiver fee and lease fee are the same thing, so it would just (!) be $15. My 921 added one "DISH NETWORK DVR SERVICEFEE 4.98" and one "ADDL RECEIVER ACCESS FEE 4.99", and I leave it connected to the phone line. Although I should mention it's not leased, I own it. :)

It would $15 if the 522 is not the only receiver. Otherwise, my outline is correct.

Don't worry about the fees. They'll just find some new ones to tack on next month. It's impossible to keep up with them.

So,

- Fees are the same if you lease or buy
- The 522/322 are equivalent to two receivers if not connected to the phone
- They are equivalent to one receiver if connected to the phone

Right?

Thank you Everybody.

I'm sure this will change with every release of a new receiver or DVR :)

Has Dish dropped the 1-year contract for HD upgrades?

Well, I have decided to compare
