This could possibly be the last pitcher we see get to the magical 300 wins. With the way players go on the DL with even a hang nail and with pitch counts we could be seeing the last person to get to that number.

At least he's clean.... Unlike a certain someone else who hit a milestone this weekend (the cheater's way).

I will never say never, but the chances are slim.
If Randy Johnson stays healthy, then he might have a chance, but with his injuries and getting up in age, it's unlikely.

CC Sabathia might be the next pitcher who will have a chance at 300, he's 27 years old with 95 wins, he might have a chance.

Maybe Santana from the Twin Cities?

Santana and Sabathia might be the 2 best pitchers in the game now and in the future, but I give the edge to Sabathia.

You know none of the best pitchers in the league today will ever be on the Rangers team. :(

I would love to see Randy Johnson get there, I've always liked him.
That said, with his latest year of back troubles, it looks doubtful for him to get there, what a dominant pitcher when he was healthy.

Jimbo

He won't make it, unless he can pitch to 44.

You are probabily right about Mussina. Five man rotations and pitch counts, and owners protecting their multi-million investments, probabily preclude us from seeing anymore 300 gane winners. Last year the majors didn't even have a 20 game winner!

Hey batter, batter.
