I could care less about basketball, but wish they would have put it up today so we could see the NASCAR races, but if the rain keeps up, maybe it will be postponed till after D* has TNT-HD up and running tomorrow.
I agree, could care less about basketball as well, but nascar today would have rocked! Pray for more rain!

Oh come on, there are some good music on their sometimes :D
Since when do you need and HD channel to listen to music? Absolutely moronic concept.

A poor decision that will look even worse if this happens:

TNT-HD is up in test mode. It is on transponder C-8, sharing with the HD PPV Channel. That means HDNet has now moved to B-28 to share with ESPN2-HD and the various NBA-HD channels in the 90's (of course they can always shift them around when they go active). That could lead to all time low bitrates for HDNet in the evenings.
Details at http://www.widemovies.com/dfwbitrate.html
The only full time 3-per is still HBO-HD, SHO-HD, HDNet Movies.

CD USA is hogging up valuable bandwidth from channels that actually need the bandwidth for compelling video content.

Maybe discover some new music? There are some of us that love "Live Concerts" along with 5.1 audio... I do hope that was a tongue-in-the-cheek statement...

Look for more transponder changes in the next 30-60 days as Spaceway 2 goes live...there will be more flexibility once SW2 is available to move things around and restore some bandwidth. While mostly for local MPEG4, SW4 can also handle some limited but useful HD bandwidth migration from the other birds.

Not a huge basketball fan.....but it will be nice to see the it in HD other then then regular feed. The movies they carry wont look the best.....

My wife is (or was) a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. When we had V*, she used to watch those shows on TNT-HD, and while I was not a fan of the shows, I was a fan of how much better the shows looked in HD versus SD. So whatever the content, it simply looked better in HD. Obviously a lot of upconversion, but still an improvement.
