Time Warner throws in the towel on Sports Net LA distribution

This channel needs to die just like Comcast Houston did. At least that was a two sports channel.
My guess is that despite TWC's efforts to attract more providers, I think it's obvious that the other providers believe too many bridges were burned.
I think the original per sub price was in the area of $8 per subscriber. I also believe TWC in rolling out the service and placing such a high rate was from the idea that "you need us"....
Well. The Lakers absolutely suck and but for the 76 'ers going for a record( their own) for fewest wins in an 82 game season, would have the worst record in the NBA.
Yes the Dodgers contended last year, making the post season, but losing Greinke is not going to help.
Needless to say each sports property in the SportsNet LA stable is not worth the fee.
