Working on a redneck BUD setup right now, about to take my GI 2400r and hook up to my 10' BUD to find G-4 /16 .... using a 12 volt 9" TV (only works on 12 volts now) a 18 volt drill to move the dish and a Shelf that was used for Plants inside at one time... might post a pic here in a bit... :)

My weekend project consists of renaming all the channels I have scanned into my Pansat, and deleting the ones I don't want with Channel Master.

I think it might take some time if I want it done correctly with all the name changes on G10, and other sats. I'll have Ice's list in front of me, and of course Lyngsat, but still have to watch a little of each channel for id's.

Worked on BUD some more this afternoon, Success on G-4 /16 ( check attachement for the view of same ) also did some much needed maintainance to it in order to find same...( too much flex, I covered it here in my It's alive thread)Not enough time to try the coolsat on it as It's hooked to a Replay thats recording right now...

i was wondering if those rabbit ears was helping any :D

well i can't say a whole lot couldn't hit a good sat today
but i might have a bent lnb arm :(

so i will try again tomorrow and set my pole in cement.

Well I just tried to watch some FTA this evening and lone behold no signal, the 100 plus kmph wind yesturday must have moved something so I will have to add tweaking to my project besides running a couple of RG6's.

Running a long stretch of component video cables from my A/V box up a wall along the suspended ceiling and finally to the projector. I knew that second component input would get used sooner or later :)

Finished the Channel List, and have all the satellites listed from W to E, (top to bottom) in the installation menu. and in the selection menu in my Pansat 3500SD.

The Channel Master program is a life saver. It didn't take nearly as long as I had thought. :D

OK, I am going to point my bucket mounted Primestar to a satellite tomorrow. I need everyones help, where should I point it? I have the following covered: G10, IA7, IA5 and AMC4. I am not into sports (and I am not gay) :), so what wold be the one bird I should point it at. The bird with the highest votes wins. THANKS!

No sports, so no SBS6, AMC2.

Any LOS limitations we need to know?

OTTOMH...I'd say AMC6, AMC3, or IA8

HOORAY! Finally caught someone at the construction site where they just leveled a home for commercial development. I asked if they had any plans for the satellite dish. The guy said they'd been trying to figure out what to do with it and did I want it? Free dish for me. Solved a problem for them. It pays to ask! The dish is a 6 foot solid fiberglass with lnb. The mount is a sort of metal stand which might be usable. Now the only problem is getting it home, a drive of about 20 miles. Any tips on securing a 6 ft dish on top of a Corolla wagon?
