As a tub it needed no seals- all 5 items were above the max water level and could only be wetted if the tub overflowed. Possible, as I doubt the overflow port could drain the water as fast as the faucet can fill it.
I had to come along and add shower heads. Now the top of the tub gets wet regularly. I'm most concerned about how to seal around the hand sprayer, to allow it's continued use without letting by water. Might just have to do without. Or I might have a stroke of genius and figure a way to all a cover that looks well.
