Yep, I've had both. After retiring from the military I've had surgery to repair ACL and meniscus tearing as well as two arthroscopies. I regret every having the 1st arthroscopy as I can no longer run and do all the stuff I enjoy doing. I refuse to take an drugs, so I just live with the pain and will have both knees replaced when I turn 50 (in three years). Years ago I almost broke my neck playing combat soccer (pushball) while I was in the military. I couldn't do anything other than walk around with my head tilted to the right side. Military medicine prescribed muscle relaxants, which did nothing more than make me lightheaded and drowsy. Since military medicine would not recongnize the chiropractic profession, I basically paid $75 out of my own pocket to visit a chiropractor. This was back in the day when my paycheck was $250 every two weeks. Anyway, an untrasound and spinal alignment relieved the pressure from my neck (nerves) and I was no longer in pain and was practically doing cartwheels out to my vehicle. So yes, I understand how painful it is to tweak a nerve in your neck, but I am sure Tiger Woods has enough money to buy his own team of physicians and chiropractors...so I am not buying his excuse of suffering for weeks with this problem.
