Tiger has had a miserable year on the tour this year, but he is still the #1 ranked golfer in the world. Phil has had many opportunities to surpass Tiger in the rankings, but he remains in 2nd place. With the exeption of winning the Masters, Phil's game really hasn't been up-to-par this season. Anyway, both golfers are doing battle once again this week and they are trying to "find their game" and perhaps earn a late-season win or top-finish.
Currently, both Tiger and Phil are strugging and are tied at +1 in today's opening round. Is this the week Phil finally takes over 1st place in the world rankings? Because young and in-their-prime golfers like Matt Kuchar, Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and many others (same faces at the top of the leaderboard each week) have replaced Tiger and Phil will surprising regularity. I think we would all love to see Tiger and Phil competing against each other for a title once again. We shall see...
